Brown eyed girl.
Make-up artist Diane Kendal for Thakoon says an expert tip is to opt for brow powder instead of simple eyeshades; this has the effect of giving the eyes more intensity. Smearing the brow powder on the crease of the lid and blending outwards can achieve such profundity.
Mixing and blending various shades in similar tones will create a smouldering effect that will add instant depth to the eyes, the assortment of colours can be brought together by choosing a shade that will balance the mixture out. You should apply shadow to both the lid and brow bone. To create the illusion of elongated lids, using sweeping motions you should blend the shadow a little further from the middle crease of the lids. You shouldn’t however go overboard and blend shadow past the eyebrow.
If you want to add a little colour to look, violet is the perfect companion to this seasons brown and will create both a no hassle chic style that’s easy to wear and extremely flattering. These two shades are also big this season so you will be right on trend for s/s 2010.
A few of the must-have products when it comes to creating this seasons ‘brown eyed girl’ include Bobbi Browns pencil liner in walnut, Clinique’s cream shadow in truffle, Chanel eyeshadow in 18 and Shu Uemura’s Gris eyeshadow in Eye Shimmer Duo.
