Pretty Women takes a new role.
The prestigious make up brand Lancôme is set to go against the industry trend for favouring youth by introducing a 42-year-old mother of three to become the new face of the Définicils Precious Cells Mascara campaign. Julia Roberts is the face in question and the Hollywood star has reportedly signed an impressive £12.5 million deal with the L’Oreal-owned cosmetics brand.
The actress follows in the footsteps of an array of stars that have previously appeared as the face of the brand, one such A-list celebrity includes the actress Kate Winslet who is in fact the brands global ambassador.
In a recent interview with the star, Julia Roberts reportedly appeared awe-struck stating, “It’s kind of like every girl’s dream, really” to become the face of such a strongly admired beauty label. She always stated she admired Lancôme’s decision to opt for someone older to head the campaign. Julia Roberts is now 42 and has three kids, so you can only imagine it’s a proud moment to be both a working mom and to be asked to take part in something like this.
While no definite announcement has been made regarding Julia Roberts new role there are many rumours flying about. One such rumour states that the original pretty women star will be shoot the new advertisement with the infamous photographer Mario Testino. All is said to be revealed later this summer.
The Definicils Precious Cells Mascara offers extremely defining, lengthening characteristics with the added bonus of lash enriching benefits. The formula has been created using plant cell extracts.
