Put a spring in your step with one of the new fragrances from the Marc Jacob’s splash range, proof that spring is officially here! The new line takes inspiration from adorable Parisian patisserie macaroons; Marc Jacobs has taken the sweet flavours of these divine macaroons and put them into a perfume. The new limited edition collection features flavours such as Biscotti, Apple and Pomegranate. Pomegranate is proving to be the most popular of the range, the scent combines the sweet fruit with bergamot rhubarb, hints of the mandarin flowers and a sugary musk, and it almost smells good enough to eat.
Biscotti offers a contrast of flavours, both dry nutty crisp notes are combined with syrupy and sugary hints. When you first experience the scent you are met with cake-like opening notes combined with delectable creamy elements with hints of almond and vanilla yet on the skin both mandarin and white floral notes come in to play. The perfume boasts to last for hours on but if you do wish to re-apply, the ample sized bottle will allow you to do so at regular intervals.
These fragrances are both grown up and sophisticated yet still have a sweet edge making them a perfect scent for either the day or night. Fragrance ingredients include orange blossom, bergamot, freesia, pistachio blossom, and vanilla.
The scent is available from most department and beauty stores as well as at all Marc Jacobs boutiques.
Macaroons are certainly proving to be the new sign of luxury and Marc Jacobs has certainly played on this.
