This season the A-list have gone crazy for braids, Rapunzel, pixie or somewhere between the two, all are popular looks for 2010 and offer an easy laid-back style that will work for both day and night time style.

If you wish to work such a style then make sure you take a little inspiration from this season’s hottest celebrities.

A few of the A-list sporting this look include the actress Jessica Alba, who often sports a classic yet cool braid that works well teamed with statement dangly ear candy.  Jada Pinkett Smith is another celebrity who is loving the braid for 2010 and uses a plait as appose to a headband in order to tame her over the top curly locks, Jennie Garth is another stylish individual who is often seen sporting and braid and Mohican combination that adds an instant edge to any outfit!  Thandie Newton goes for a more sleek style and often wears her hair in a loose braid, which she finishes with a statement and ‘oh so’ stylish ribbon.  Amber Valetta and Dianna Agron both go for tight styles, that use the locks to weave a sophisticated look that is perfect foe an evening out or a plush dinner date.  Kristen Bell and Lauren Conrad not only share the same home town, they also share the same hairstyles and opt for a Californian cool style, which comes in the shape of a laid back braid into a perfect yet low-key bun style.  Misha Barton, Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Audrina Patridge, Alexa Chung and Leona Lewis have all been seen both out on the town and on the red carpet sporting a hippy relaxed style that works for both short and long hair, as Alexa Chung shows!

In order to create any one of these look make sure you invest in a few good hair tools, and if you wish to add a little glamour to your new style add a cute pin, a pretty clip or anyone of this seasons super sweet headbands.
