The famed actress and friend’s favourite, Jennifer Anniston will be hitting the prestigious department store Harrods this week. This surprise visit is to introduce the launch of her brand new fragrance, which will be exclusive to the department store.

The Friends star will be taking her place in the renowned Georgian Restaurant in order to sign bottles of her self-titled first fragrance.

Jennifer has worked closely with the Falic Fashion Group in order to create a scent that is unique to her. The A-list celebrity quoted she desired the fragrance to be a personal library of scent memories. One particular aroma the star claims to adore is night-blooming jasmine, which she is able to connect to childhood memories of growing up in California and summer evenings.

Along with memories from the US, Jennifer has taken inspiration from various holidays to Greece and days spent at the beach. The end result is an aroma that is extremely invigorating. This is due to the mixture of the salty air and tropical oils, which represents long sunny days on the beach.

The fragrance is a mixture of sweet scented floral aromas; these include notes of rose, wild violet and Amazon lily with base notes that dry down to a woody aroma of musk, golden amber and sandalwood. For these base notes Jennifer took inspiration from the distinctive smell of wood fires.

The packaging for this particular scent certainly echoes Jennifer’s love for architecture and the bottle pays strong references to the flow of a Frank Gehry building, this has been teamed with the fluidity and organic form of a cresting wave.

Jennifer Aniston’s debut fragrance is available to purchase in three sizes, these include a 30ml bottle priced at £23, 50ml at £29 and 85ml at £36.

Actress and friends star Jennifer Aniston has followed in the footsteps of the many A-list celebrities and has launched her own signature scent. Other A-list stars who have already released a fragrance include the likes of Sex in the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, action man Bruce Willis and singer Beyonce Knowles. All have their names on successful fragrances, Bruce Willis has in fact just recently signed with the German cosmetics firm LR Health & Beauty Systems. The star is said to be working with the brand in order to release an extremely masculine scent, which will echo the action hero image he plays in many of his movies perfectly.

Jennifer Anniston offers a completely alternative scent to that of Bruce Willis’s new fragrance in that she has stepped away from the action image and created an extremely soft, light and girly scent. The star is working with the Falic Fashion Group in order to produce such a signature scent. The actress has said that this fragrance isn’t just a container with her name on but something she has been thoroughly involved in creating and something that is in fact truly her own.

The Falic Fashion Group has teamed with the star in order to produce a creative expression, following an inception to fruition to process. The concept of the name of this particular scent hasn’t yet been revealed but is said to have a special significance to the star.

Lolavie will go live in June 2010 and will first be available from the prestigious London department store Harrods. A 50ml measure of Lolavie will retail for a price of £30.
