L’Oréal Paris have recently introduced a range of intense new shades to the Resist & Shine Titanium Made for Me polish collection.   The range of vibrant and bold new shades are said to be both intense and luminous in appearance and with so many to choose from there is something to suit all and a hue for every occasion!

The all-new Resist & Shine Titanium Made for Me Intense nail polishes from L’Oréal Paris offer impressive staying power and enduring wear.  This is due to the fact they are packed with a silkprotect, shock-resistance and a shine protection formula.

The nail polish is housed in an aesthetically pleasing bottle that is both elegant and practical in style and comes in the shape of a premium gold and glass casing.  The Resist & Shine Titanium polish from L’Oreal also has a non-slip grip brush handle to allow for easy application.  This makes it the perfect product for those that have a hectic life style yet still want to be right on trend with their nails and therefore desire a no hassle product.

The LA clothing brand is reportedly set to now take over beauty cupboards as well as closets with its latest introduction of retro-look nail enamels.

The clothes line has a ‘keep-it-local’ philosophy which the new 18 lacquer shades stick too and have been created with all things American Apparel in mind, these inspirations include various elements taken from the many stores and factories of the company. For example the storm-in-a-bottle in Factory Grey has been created with the manufactory floors in mind. A fresh minty green colour, which has been named Office, looks to the accounting department notepads for inspiration.

Both the turquoise-blue Peacock and ballerina-pink Rose Bowl shades are proving to be the most popular shades and are right on trend for spring’s strong, candy-coloured looks. Each polish is priced at a total of £5 each and can be obtained either in store or online, there are also rumours of six more colours being introduced to the range.

The French make-up brand L’Oreal has reported that they are to buy the US-based nail company Essie. The financial details of the purchase have been kept on the down low for the moment.

The current sales of Essie’s eccentric yet desirable nail polish ranges are said to have made over an impressive 28 million dollars in the previous 12 months. The purchase would of Essie will add another brand to the list of others already owned by the prestigious L’Oreal label, the cosmetic label already have shares in a variety of other beauty and hair brands including the likes of Keratase, Lancome and YSL Beaute. The individual nail company Essie will certainly help further the brands status in both the nail care and nail colour market.

Pretty Pastelles

Chanel showcased pretty floral and pastel hues on pre season summer catwalks and they are certainly set to be a big hit this summer. Greens, powdery blues, baby pinks and soft lilacs are all on the fashion agenda and work perfectly with spring and summer floral prints.

Cosmetic brand Illamasqua has introduced a range of perfect pastel colours for this year. The exciting new line of Pastel Nail Varnishes have just been released and there is already a waiting list.

Shades and tones featured in the newly showcased line include Caress, Very Unique Wink, Blow and Nudge.

Caress offers a pretty cornflower blue shade that is a delicious mixture of subtle blue and grey tones. Very Unique Wink combines a girly feminine shade with hints of lavender notes. Blow captures lots of lemony tones that are close to that of lemon sorbet and Nudge is a mint fresh ice cream green colour.

These colours are a definite hit for this season and add a little excitement and girly brightness to any look; they can be worn alone or mixed and matched as each shade perfectly compliments the other.

These are the first four pastel nail lacquers to be launched from the make-up brand and there are suggestions of even more shades to be added to the mix. These are all due to be revealed for the spring and summer 2010 trends.
