This season is all about the gorgeous glow, this shouldn’t mean you throw yourself in the sun whenever you see a glimpse of light! Summer tans may look nice, if you don’t take precautions and wear sun cream however, they can be extremely bad for the complexion!

You nay not always se the damage caused but if you actually went under the light at a pro salon you would be surprised!

Even a small amount of sun can be damaging and wearing a high factor suncream is the only way to protect yourself! You need to take breaks and never lie in the sun at the hottest part of the day, start with a 30 plus suncream until you have a base and only then should you choose a lower numbered cream!

There I another way to get a great colour. Simply spend your pennies on a great tanning cream, one that will wither colour you instantly or alternatively over time! This is a great way to gain a warm hue without putting yourself in danger nor will there be any chance if you burning!

There are so many tanning creams available today and all promise a flawless natural looking tan! In order to keep it look like you have spent s week on the beach, opt for a shade only one above your natural! Too much will cause the colour to look unnatural and unhealthy!

For an all year round glow choose something like a gradual tanning lotion, this will make your tan build up over time rather than an instant colour, if you want something for an evening out, opt for a colour that will go on instantly! Just be careful to let it dry prior to dressing. If you don’t you could run the risk if staining your clothes and your hands! Make sure you wear a not for best results!

When the sun comes out to play no one wants to add to the clogged pores by covering up the blemishes they have with greasy makeup. It’s a vicious circle. We are no longer teens so why so why are we still faced with spots? It could be down to a number of reasons; product overload being a major contributing factor. As we get older our skin becomes more sensitive and that’s not taking into consideration our stress levels. Stress plays a major role in adult acne. The solution; use light oil-free products such as Nivea Daily Essentials Oil Free Moisturising Day Cream, which also protects sin from the sun. Exfoliate your face daily, but be gentle; experts recommend Dr Brandt’s Microdermabrasion and a £65 a pop it has to be used little and often! Ingredients such as retinol, salicylic acid and glycolic acid boosts skin firmness, exfoliate and reduce pore size creating a smooth and even toned surface. Foods such as apricots, sweet potatoes and mangos are rich in skin loving vitamin A. Make sure to reduce any traces of bacteria by washing your make up brushes and sponges regularly, be sure to change your pillows and towels as these can be a breeding ground for bacteria. And finally have some ‘me’ time. Scientists have proved that any activity that reduces stress reduces spots. So whether its hitting the gym for a Pilates session or dancing round your living room like n ones watching, take some time to feel good about yourself.

The soak it up body moisture Spray is certainly a moisturising body spray that says what it does on the tin!

This is certainly a bargain beauty body oil spray that is not only ultra hydrating but super smoothing, it’s great for those dry problem areas such as elbows, feet and knees, however you must let this moisturising body oil spray sink properly and evenly into the skin!

The best time to apply is probably after bathing an ten minutes before getting dressed, you can use those extra minutes to chill out in the morning whilst waiting for it to dry!

If you are in a hurry we wouldn’t advise using this as dressing too quickly may cause the moisture body oil spray to stain the clothes!

The light formula body moisture oil is great for those super dry areas and it has an extra sweet fragrance! This could be a little too sweet for some people but not us! Plus this will be a good saviour as you won’t have to lace yourself in perfume!

This ample sized lotion comes in the shape if a retro adorned bottle with a fifties black and white image on of a stylish lovely lady!

The tin itself boasts radiant beauty and is just a little quirky and offers good clean fun! The bottle also houses an easily to spray top, which allows for ease of application!

The ample sized tube is priced at just £4.99, which is great value for money

An assortment of big name celebrities such as the likes of David Beckham, Madonna and Justin Timberlake are all hot on one particular new craze, which comes in oxygen skin therapy.

All that abide by such a treatment will now that oxygen skin therapy is the way to reveal an A-list red carpet complexion.

The oxygen skin therapy process involves both oxygen infusions and oxygen facials, which in turn reveals the appearance of healthy and beautiful skin that is both youthful and glowing in look.

The renowned oxygen skin therapy in fact first started in hospitals over ten years ago and has since been transformed into a salon and spa procedure and such a procedure is as popular as the likes of botox, lasers and the glycolic peel processes.

Madonna in fact swears by the technique and states it to produce immediate results, which is great for a red carpet event after a long journey or a good way to wake your skin up after a night on the tiles.

Oxygen is essential for life; it is however also essential for the skin and boasts to speed up heeling processes and reduce bacteria build up. This has especially been documented with those with skin disorders and injuries.

Oxygen skin therapy takes pure oxygen and combines it with a range of antioxidants, minerals, anti-ageing ingredients and minerals in order to create a unique product that boasts instant results.

This is possibly one of the main reasons why it is so popular with the A-list as many of them have a high flying schedule and require an instant skin boost for the many parties they are required to attend

The pH balance of the skin plays an extremely important part in helping the skin’s barrier, which is known as the acid mantle and is created by secretions from both seat and sebaceous glands as the beneficial microflora and the breakdown of certain fatty acids

This particular barrier is very important to our skin as it is able to act as a secret barrier that keeps all the good elements tightly sealed in our skin and all the bad elements locked out, the good elements include the likes of moisture and lipids, whilst the bad elements consist of bacteria and pollution products.

Skin that is more alkaline tends to be more susceptible to unwanted ailments such as acne; this is mainly due to the fact that the skin does need some acidity in order to inhibit bacterial growth on the skin

Alkalinity has also been proven to play a role in aging, those with more alkaline in their skin are more likely to develop the likes of crows feet and fine lines as appose to those that have more acidity in their complexion, this is mainly due to an alkaline epidermis being drier and more brittle than an acidic one. This also means that alkaline skin types are more sensitive to sunshine and should therefore take extra protection when in the sunlight. Using a wide range of high factor sun blocks is a good way to do this or alternatively wearing a tinted moisturiser with an SPF factor included in the formula

If we possess a clear complexion then we feel both confident and happy in ourselves, having to deal with problem skin on a daily basis can sometimes make us feel a little down in dumps.

When it comes down to the nitty gritty facts, balance is the key to perfect skin, why else would a variety of skin care brands use the slogan ‘pH Balanced’ on an assortment of their skin care formulas?

The term pH in fact stands for potential of hydrogen, which evaluates the measures of hydrogen ion concentration in a substance. The scale for this begins a t 0, which claims to be the most acidic. The scale finishes at 14, which is the most alkaline number in the scale. A Danish chemist determined all of the above in the early 1900’s. Seven is the mid point on the scale and this is the most neutral number, for example water is pH 7.

The body keeps an extremely specific balance between both acidity and alkalinity, however I it sways one way more than the other, this is most likely due to a whole host of unhealthy traits, which in turn produce a variety of unwanted results. Such results include dry skin, rapidly ageing skin, inflammation of the complexion, fatigue, disease, weight gain and acne.

There are an assortment of diets and health food supplements on the market that promise to help combat such ailments and in turn provide you with a healthy and glowing complexion with a perfect pH balance.

Ph balances generally are not measurable, although you can visit a specialist skin care venue in order to reveal the skins pH levels, such kits that involve using saliva tests are generally able to determine the skin’s natural balance levels, however even without these kits it is still relatively easy to know when your skin isn’t looking at its best. Signs such as dry, flaky areas, a dull complexion, oily t-zones and problem spot areas are all signs that you may need to invest in either a new skin care product or alternatively change something in your diet. Fast, greasy foods, lots of sugar, fizzy drinks, a lack of water ad alcohol are just a few of the things that can affect the appearance of our skin. All of the above factors cause the pH balance of your skin to become a little upset.

Try to avoid washing your skin with soap as such a formula is extremely alkaline, instead invest in a pH balanced facial wash, scrub or cleanser. Traditional formulas have a pH balance of up to 9, meaning they will leave the complexion both dry and extremely venerable to damage! You will also experience a tight feeling on the skin after washing with soap, especially a soap that is of pH 9.

An overly alkaline complexion can be combated however, simply swap the soap for a cleanser. A foaming cleanser is mostly recommended for skins that are vulnerable to acne. There are also a variety of treatments on the market that claim to boost the acidic levels of the skin, such as glycolic peels, which have an exfoliating effect and work to regulate the pH balance

Nowadays wearing make-up has actually been stated to be good for your skin, some contain SPF factors in order to protect your delicate facial skin from the harsh rays of the sun, others are highly moisturising and a few products even boast to be so pure that you can actually sleep in them. Mind if you do have time to take your face off before bedtime we highly recommend it! The all-new mineral foundations on the market come in a powder like formula that is buffed to the skin using a soft professional brush, such a style of make-up is great for those who have problem skin such as blemishes, pimples, red spots and any other problem areas as mineral foundations claim to combat these unsightly signs and work to clear them.

Model’s on this year’s runways were showcasing a very different look to usual in that skin was buffed to a glowing gorgeousness as appose t caked in a dramatic paint like foundation. Skin appeared clear and fresh, often with a little rose pink blush to keep it natural and healthy looking as appose to heavy and over the top.

For best results opt for a natural foundation such as CoverGirl’s new Nature Luxe formula, which was used backstage at many of this season’s shows. The make-up artist to the A-list was certainly one make up artist to big up this new product from CoverGirl, if it’s good enough for her and a whole hard of model’s, it is certainly a must-have investment for us!

After the tinted loving 90’s we have finally found the answer to flawless looking skin that comes in the shape o a make up that leaves complexions looking polished, even and pretty yet still light weight in style.

Other benefits of such foundations include antioxidants, making the all-new range of foundations a great way to look flawlessly good and address any skin queries at the same time
